wow.. one year passed just like that

08 was gone in the blink of an eye

Recap:

08 was really a fruitful year for me, i started my swimming caereer with Jack Simon and is immensly grateful to him. Without him, i doubt ill still be swimming today because i contemplated quitting at the start of this year. 08 was considered one of the better years for me, facing new challenges, like waking up at 5am in the morning to go for swimming. It was indeed a crazy year, going for my first international competitions, having to swim something other than NAG, SG open and Sch nats. 08 was the year i really opened my eyes to see the world around me. Im just happy to be where i am now, with great people surrounding me. Met loads of new friends, some became really really good and even best friends. I realised that good and best friends may not be those that who talk to you non-stop but actually those that stick with you through thick and thin. Theres really alot to elaborate but i shant go into detail.

New Year's Resoultion

1) Stay motivated throughtout the year
2) Update this blog once a wk
3) 6 secs, thats all im asking for

Monday- Training was fantastic, both morn and afternoon sessions. Morn felt totally great, doing quite good pace work, basically, its almost all pace work everyday, 4321, 440333220108.

Afternoon: died like shit for gym, i had no waterfeel. Most challenging was the 8300s but it was fairly manageable, holding good times, felt aching towards the back alittle, felt quite sore but it was fairly good. 330330330330330330330330

Tues Morn: Died like a bitch, times varied like mad, from 113-121!!! feel like shit shit shit shit

Tues Afternoon: felt as good as monday morning. felt slow at the start, but it got gradually better towards the end. it was 400 2200 400 4100 400 850. i actually kinda loved this set, varying distances, i had to say one of the better workouts i have done in a long time. 444 217217 440 107108107108 438 3434333230303029. next was followed by 3,850s, felt great good pace work again

wow one week gone just like that, as usual, quite the shitty week. Went down to MSC to go have training to have work for next week. lol im just quite sad that the seniors cant stay with us for 9 weeks. They are fantastic ppl haha. Anyway 9 more weeks of working from 9-3.30 everyday at bazaar wohoO! I forsee quite alot of stuff to do but still, i hope its gonna be fun! Hope theres no conflict between the 4 of us and we can work well together! AND!!! low sales target pleaseeeee low low low sales target i hope. Good luck to everyone whos gonna work! haha

wow im like almost making this a weekly thing!.. last week really sucked for me, high sc, high hr, high everything, just couldnt move last wk, so mentally tiring.

but on the bright side, i still survived!

8th dec was fantastic for me! It felt really good to move fast again after a very tiring week. the 200's were particulary pleasing, nice pace work, really good work out completed. i have to say this may yet be the best session for 2 weeks. 217218220210

After the session, we played this team building game, smth like what they had in the guardian, 2 people per team and we had to push this flipper over to the other side of the pool underwater. The only rule was that only one person could come out and breathe at a time.Clement and i totally sucked for the first one. It hurt so bad man. He took so long to breathe that i had to pull him down so it was my turn to go up for air. 2nd one was fun! haha i was practically pulling clement all the way and we cordinated our breathing haha really fun and interesting team bonding game and that was the end of a fruitful training session for me, hope that for the rest of the week, it would be continue to be this good.

Basically, im going back to the time where i had to write how i felt each week

OK this week, i feel pretty much tired, sets were long, but i was quite satisfied with the times i made during training this whole week. I was able to survive most of the first half of the sessions, but i would just die for the 2nd half. Made 10 sessions this week, and im aching like a dog all the way from Wed.

On the brighter side of things, things are fantastic and i couldnt have wished for a better week training wise. Test set on sat was fantastic, 202,26.1,30,25.1,28.3

oh my 2 months of hols and my brains have all gone screwy.. haha anw i was damm bored and i started taking out my journal in pri 4 lol pretty funny and interesting stuff i wrote in there haha

Today a disaster happened, when i was writing halfway, the silver part of the blue pen came out and ink flowed out. The whole paper that i was writing on was all with blue ink. I had to rewrite the whole thing all over again. I was very sad that my blue pen died!

LOL i cant believe i actually wrote that sort of crap just to satisify the weekly 1 journal request from the teacher.. hahaits like one whole load of crap ad bullshit but i still keep these stuff to remind myself of a better and simpler time when my mind didnt have to think of such complicated stuff

anw heres a short story i read on someones blog

One day a little boy walked up to his teacher and asked, "what is love?"

wow.. i have a feeling this is gonna be a long post. Third week of school and its been really great! my class BM0708 is hilarious and very easy to talk to. I talk to them like ive known them for years! The class of BM0708 is really diverse class with ppl comin from different walks of life.. im just glad i got posted to this class. Since school started, the workload, i have to say, is surprisingly manageable and im prob to proclaim that im the most ON person in my class. Its like i motivate ppl to study and listen during lecures! haha.. a new me i guess.

Ive joined waterpolo and swimming! I got to say waterpolo is tough but with the ppl i met.. It makes training much more enjoyable.. My very first game i played was against the womans team and all i did was swim for the ball.. other than that i was relatively unknown for the rest of the game.. My 2nd game was against rjc.. swam for ball again.. and unknown again.. got owned pretty badly as a couple of first team players didnt turn up cause of flu. As a whole.. i think i sucked bad cause of my shit eyesight, but i believe all i can do is improve my reading of the game and be more quick in passing the ball to open team mates..

2dae was the first day of school.. nth much i guess just orientation.. but during chapel i saw smth wierd..

they played the anthony burger video which i watched at church on sunday(i distinctly remembered his name cause i thought it was cool). i found the video familar and i soon found myself enjoying the video again. After the video ended, i started to think. 'is this a msg from god to me?' its just too coincidental.. does he want me to use my talents to honour him? what does him want me to do?

Silver Refiner

i was just browsing thru some ppls blogs and i chanced upon this.. its very meaningful

Malachi 3:3 - "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She did not mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot then she thought again about the verse that says:

"He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver."

She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?

"He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy - when I see my image in it."

wow.. im quite happy with my aquathlon results.. i got 3rd(ALEX... Barca put in a display of goals and spectacle to brush aside their closest rivals and make clear whos playing the best football in Spain right now, with an emphatic 3-0 win over Madrid at the Nou Camp

The team showed all its quality and ambition in an almost perfect display, in which they never allowed Madrid any options. The visitors were completely rubbed out of the game after Etoos first half goal and Gio's second just before half time opened the way to a totally dominant second half for Rijkaard's men, rounded off by Ronaldinhos 76th minute penalty.

Larsson gets the nod

With Giuly only just passed fit, Rijkaard decided to go with Swedish striker Henrik Larsson up front with Eto's, whilst bringing back Belletti at right back and keeping the rest of the team from last week's defeat at Betis.

The game began with both teams looking to entertain: Barca dominating possession and Madrid hitting on the encounter. It was a thrilling opening, which promised much more to come.

Deco in charge

Madrid successfully limited Xavi in the first half, but that simply gave more space to Deco, who soon began to direct Barca's attacks, connecting well with Eto'o and Larsson up front. The Portuguese midfielder was also finding space to open up the flanks with Belletti and Gio both bombing down the wings. Madrid's only answers were the occasional foray by Roberto Carlos, a run by Figo and the ever present threat of Zidane's class.

Goals start to flow

Barca began to find space behind the Madrid defence and only a goalline clearance from Roberto Carlos kept out a clever Eto'o back heel on 22 minutes.

Seven minutes later, Barca were one up as the Brazilian full back and his keeper Casillas failed to deal with a Ronaldinho through ball, which Eto'o cheekily nipped in on to shoot into an empty net. The goal boosted Barca's efforts and Deco and Ronaldinho, with a chip over Casillas after leaving Guti for dead, both came close with chances to make it 2-0.

Then on 43 minutes came the goal of the game as Gio rounded off a silky passing move down the left involving Ronaldinho and Deco to double Barcas led and send them in at the break deservedly well ahead.

Rhythm drops

With Barca dropping the rhythm, but still dominating, the second half gave no intention that Madrid could find a way back, their attacking options seemingly limited to the occasional Zidane shot from outside the box, but really nothing more.

Owen came on for a subdued Beckham before the hour mark and the English striker livened things up a little with a near post header that went just wide, but it was all too little against a Barca side who never really looked ruffled.

Game over

Now Xavi broke loose of the close marking he'd been subjected to and began to control matters and lift the tempo again. On 76 minutes, Eto'o broke free after Madrid had lost th eball deep in the Barca half and was only stopped by a clumsy tackle in the box from Samuel and Guti that the ref had no hesitation in giving a penalty for.

Up stepped Ronaldinho and fired the ball past Casillas to make it 3-0 and game over. Garcia Ramon, with one eye on Madrid's midweek crunch European tie, now threw in the towel and withdrew both Zidane and Raul, whilst Barca put on the exhibition stuff for their fans, who went home well satisfied with their teams excellent performance, the three goals, the three points and the footballing lesson their great rivals had been handed out.

to my respected teachers, those who imparted vast knowledge to us, those who spent hours screening through those ink splattered worksheets, those who took the pain to make every lesson matter... and made it a point to turn up for the meager 35minute periods - a big huge humongous and even greater than great "thank you".

my life and goals

i think everyone know me quite well already so there is no need for me to write abt me in general...im going to write abt me at home.. comparing me at home and at school, im 2 different persons altogether..hahas.. veri nice and cheerful and quiet at home.. veri noisy and talktive in class..seems like an angel at home and a devil outside home.. haha.. in school, im veri talkative in class..normally arguing with the teacher what is right and what is wrong..but school has been great.. with new friends year.. loads of hw(hate it).. anyway.. the year is soon going to end and exams are coming in two weeks time..sigh..gotta study study study..

Goals
-wanna be like my sis.. so successful... going to cambridge is no easy feat and on a scholarship 2..
-break e one minute barrier for 100m freestyle..(missed yesterday.. did a 1.00.28,1.00.62,and 1.00.03)
-study hard and get into a good JC
-try and beat my PB's for next years inter school competition..
-no idea of wad i wanna b yet.. but it should be something fun and something i enjoy and brings out the best in me

hi peeps... neva blog for long cause got no time and did not feel like it.. damm xian nowadys.. don know y..this week was damm funny in school.. my class set up a website and posted alot of photos..i think the website is www.freewebs.com/gad2004... go see.. its super cool..last week.. when jia wei was climbing out of the pool.. something super wierd happened... h efell back in the pool and was SCREAMING in pain.. haha... he had injured his leg.. funni right?This week in school.. my Lit teacher literaterlly gave up on us... she wanted us to study ourselves and she was very pissed. any way.. i went back to Pei Chun with Jim.had loads of fun there.. played soccer with pupils of Pei Chun.It was like class of 6f vs the others..and saw loads of ppl... gals and bois..many which i have forgotten... then many tell me that they saw me in school but i don even know recognise them ah..i think my memory is really poor man..forgot all the gals names and faces liao...

hi every one.. new month.. more sms.. plus i changed my phone plan..its free incoming calls.. but don prank me k.. sian man.. saturday also have to go to school.. to celebrate national day..but monday,tuesday,wednesday also got holiday... yup.. hoilday.. i think cause because we got 11 golds already.not bad.. can get top boys school again this year.now im making my way to yio chu kang stadium.. every one got a free jearsy(don know if have to pay or not). its looks quite niat the stadium.. it was really crowded.. there was another match going on at first. it was RI vs another lousy school..RI won in the end.when the match started,it was quite boring..then after our captain blando scored the penalty..it became excitingmy class mate.. paul crosby ong scored a try.. every one gave him a standing ovation..then saints became scared and started defending..tyco tyco score one.. then our school responded with another TRY.final score 18-7..this confirms that we will have a holiday..ok.. gtg now..going to toa payoh now..bb..

Last nights dinner was super fun... first went to bishan stadium... suppose to see jim gf... then he went to see other girls... hahaha... then nichols chew,fraser and i were so fed up... we wasted 30 min of our precious time there....then met charles and brandon koh at somerset MRT....walked to heeren to buy addidas stuff... then went to buy hair colour...i bought brown.. same as nicholes chew....brandon went to buy red.... then any how go and spray at anyone he see.....then walked to hotel... fraser wanted to spray red.. like a moehog... then brandon screw up... to make it even.. he went to spray the whole head....he spray so close... then we told him that will have head cancer... then he wiped it with the table cloth...looked like he was bleeding..then DR ong came...ask fraser wad happen....he said kanna bashed up by RI boy....hahas.. then went to toilet to help him wash up... using hand soap to scrub it all out.......after dinner... went to cine to play.. cs.... killed quite alot ppl... improved quite a bit....then time 2 go home liao... so sad... sent jim home and fell asleep half way through.... then went home and sleep... had a great day... 111 days more...
